Eldon Street – Sun room extension:

The project requirement was to form a Sun Room to the rear of the existing house. A modern approach was adopted, rather than try and replicate the existing style of house.

Contractor – Robscot Builders.

 


 

Dunlop Street – Two storey rear extension:

The brief was to design a rear extension allowing the existing Kitchen to be increased in size, providing dining accommodation. At first floor level, a new Master bedroom was formed with “walk-in” wardrobe and en-suite.

Contractor – McClay Contracts.

 


 

Drumillan Hill – Single storey side extension:

Project was to increase the size of the Lounge and Kitchen. This involved removing the existing gable external wall at ground floor level and installing structural steel work. Although the extension is relatively small externally, the difference to the living accommodation internally has been transformed.

Eldon Street – Shopfront and internal refurbishment:

Park View, Hairdressers. The property was in need of upgrading. It was fully refurbished internally and a new shop front was installed.

 


 

Octavia Terrace – Single storey side extension:

Small side extension to large West End villa in keeping with the character of the existing dwelling.

The Esplanade – Refurbishment:

Extensive refurbishment of lower villa conversion located within Greenock’s West End Conservation area. The works involved installation of new kitchen, bathrooms and windows. The original Victorian tiles within the hallway and fireplace were cleaned and sealed. The front garden area was landscaped and the existing stone façade was cleaned to enhance the appearance of the existing stonework. All work carried out using local suppliers and contractors.

Newark Street – Single storey extension:

The property had a small kitchen with separate dining room which felt uncomfortably limited. The project was to extend the house to create a modern open plan kitchen, family and dining space. A single storey extension with a large volume of glass, including velux roof windows was proposed. A small deck was also fitted below the kitchen window accessible from the extension, to take full advantage of the south facing garden. A great improvement for a family home.

The Exchange Tobago Street – Extension and Refurbisment:

Completed extension to The Exchange restaurant to create a new wine bar. By utilising what was the car park between the Exchange and the former Dockworkers Club a new wine bar extension was added whilst retaining a small external courtyard. The new extension provides restaurant clientele with a wine bar to enjoy the remainder of their evening after their meal and also gives patrons not using the restaurant a place to drink and relax whilst not impacting on restaurant clientele. The former Dockworkers Club was converted to create the Thistle and Clyde Suites, providing a large function suite on the first floor and a smaller suite on the ground floor.
